Lake Camp
|
| An enchanting mix of serenity and magical scenery.
|
The Camp :
The camp is the ideal location for spending a weekend or a short break with family & friends beside the amazing Lake Nal Ngum. This holiday gives you the chance to swim or "soak up the rays" on a completely private beach and find complete relaxation on this enchanted island far from the pressures of everyday life. The camp is built at the top of a hill in a local fishing village. This hidden paradise is only accessible by boat and so the moment your holiday begins, you leave behind the noise & pollution of the modern world.
Transfer time from Vientiane is one hour by car before you take the boat from Na Kuane ( a local village on the edge of the lake with a small dock and a handful of restaurants). From Na Kuane your transfer is completed by private boat before you reach the Lake Camp.
|
Accommodation :
You will sleep in a tented camp where each tent is 16m wide and 3m high. Each tent can sleep 2 single beds or a double bed and is furnished with a bedside table and naturally somewhere to hang your clothes. All the tents have a private outdoor area so you can relax & unwind away from the other guests. Each tent has it's own bathroom (6m˛) and provides a shower and toilet.
Meals are served in a very elegant outdoor setting, freshly prepared and served with wine.
To maximize your privacy and comfort, we have limited the camp to three tents meaning there are never more than six guests at any one time.
The lighting of your tent & bathroom is provided by a small generator whilst the rest of the camp is lit by oil lamps.
The grounds of the camp are vast and well maintained with local flowers & plant life in abundance. The design and atmosphere of the camp offers you the chance to fully benefit from the magic of your surroundings.
|
Beaches :
We have found two of the most beautiful places on the lake to swim & sunbathe and each is no more than five minutes away by boat. A boat is at your disposal all day to ferry you to and from the beaches. The beaches are equipped with parasols, sun loungers and towels. Our picnic beach is located a little further a field on an uninhabited island. Journey time to the picnic beach is one hour, again by boat.
