Our Clients’ Testimonials
At the end of each trip, we provide our clients with a satisfaction questionnaire to gather their experiences and impressions. This paper feedback is sometimes supplemented by a review left on our Facebook page.
All the feedback below comes from people who have traveled with Asia Safari Laos.
Satisfaction is at the heart of our business! Thank you to all our clients for your feedback, advice, and shared joys, which allow us to continue progressing in the right direction.
Thank you for this wonderful trip where we felt very efficiently taken care of by your teams.
Jean Louis and Catherine – April 2026
We thank the Asia Safari team for helping us prepare our trip through Laos, as well as for organizing transfers, treks, and visits to Southern Laos. Everything went very smoothly amidst beautiful landscapes. The local people gave us a very warm welcome. A country to revisit. The beauty of the northern mountains, waterfalls and cascades in the South. All along the wonderful Mekong.
Gilles and Maryse – April 2026
The transportation is of very good quality. All drivers, all cars, and all boats are always well organized. The vehicles are very comfortable and practically new. Safety seems to be the number one priority.
Charles and Yvette – February 2026
We are very satisfied with our trip, with the availability of both Mathieu in Laos and Simon in Cambodia. We will not hesitate to recommend your agency and possibly use it again for another getaway. For next year, we are considering a tour in Vietnam with a couple of friends; could you suggest an itinerary or direct us to a local agency as competent as yours?
Jacques and Claudine Devaux – February 2026
An adventure rich in discoveries (ethnic groups, landscapes). A breathtaking region, a very welcoming people, the end of the journey in Luang Prabang to finish beautifully in this charming and unique city, which invites contemplation and nonchalance. A superbly organized itinerary, with no downtime. An excellent guide. Only problem: we should have stayed an extra month!
Jérémy and Catherine – January 2026
A short stay, but we learned a lot about the culture and traditions. Laos: a beautiful discovery. Magical landscape. We will have to come back to discover more.
Martine and Mylène – January 2026
Traveling through Laos from North to South, largely by boat on the Mekong, is an unforgettable experience. Wild nature is omnipresent, the jungle is lush, its tribes are welcoming, the cuisine is delicious, and there are relatively few tourists.
Fabienne and Marc – January 2026
One of our main points of satisfaction and one of Asia Safari’s great qualities: you listened to our wishes and offered us something truly tailored. Another strong point was the organization; everything went smoothly, everything flowed perfectly, and the entire trip was well-balanced. Plus, luck was on our side because, despite capricious weather in the north, the only rainy day fell on the day of the Luang Prabang / Nong Khiau transfer, and the truly sunny day was the full rest day at Muang La.
Regarding your questionnaire, we are entirely satisfied with the guides, with a special mention for Noy in the south and for Don (who is not in your questionnaire) at Muang La. In any case, they were all perfect; Dao probably had the most difficult task being the first, and he managed wonderfully by adapting visits to help us avoid crowded times. We also want to add the guides from Tree Top Explorer, whether they were Green Discovery guides or the villagers who assisted them. They were fantastic, always attentive to safety and everyone’s level. Not to mention the kindness, which is a constant in Laos. For accommodation, nothing to say, even if it’s difficult to judge Muang La or La Folie and the homestay or Tree Top Explorer by the same criteria. We don’t expect the same comfort, of course, and that’s not what we’re looking for. That’s why I specified that, in context, the quality was proportionally met.
A big favorite was Muang La and La Folie, with fantastic hospitality and magnificent settings for both. A big plus for the charm and cuisine of Muang La. Despite everything, we didn’t regret ending up at La Folie due to the weather (but you can’t do anything about that). We prefer charm over luxury, but at Muang La, it’s even better; it’s refinement in all areas: originality, cuisine, decor… A major highlight of our stay was the Tree Top Explorer, an exceptional and unforgettable experience, and a huge desire to do it again. […]
This trip was wonderful, varied, intense, sometimes sporty, rich in encounters, and perfectly organized. In short, everything we wanted, so THANK YOU again!
Fabienne and Erwan – December 2025
Very good stay in Southern Laos after a stay in the North 4 years ago… Thank you again, Asia Safari, for this second trip. The pirogue rides are highly recommended in the 4000 Islands region, especially the 3-day Vat Phou cruise.
Jean-Pierre and Marie-Christine – December 2025
Laos is a country we loved very much for the beauty of its landscapes, the kindness of its people, and Luang Prabang. The organization was very good, fluid. No hiccups, and on top of that, your thoughtful gestures; in particular, the aperitif upon our arrival in Luang Prabang. The guides were also very good, especially the guide we had in Luang Prabang. The hotels were also very good. We can only regret that the Sanakeo was slightly out of the way, but Rodolphe, the French manager, helped us a lot with restaurant reservations and drove us to the center many times. On the itinerary, overall, we preferred the North to the South; slightly less monotonous landscapes and fun activities to do as a family. We really loved Luang Prabang, by the way. Finally, if we were to stay in Asia for a bit longer, it’s a country we would like to revisit, and also with Asia Safari.
Benoît and his family – December 2025
Discovery of a country full of authenticity. The culture shock is amplified, but what a wonderful welcome from the different ethnic groups, villagers, and merchants. Luang Prabang is a pleasant city brimming with architectural treasures. The night market allows for interaction with the local population. The encounter with the monks and the spiritual aspect truly captured my attention. Southern Laos charmed us with the Vat Phou temple, a first glimpse of the rest of the journey towards Cambodia before the Khong islands… magnificent vegetation and meeting the local people is a grand experience!
Delphine – December 2025
Magnificent trip to Laos. Authentic and splendid landscapes. The Laotians are truly charming and very welcoming.
Gérard and his family – December 2025
Back from our journey through Laos and then Cambodia, I wanted to express my complete satisfaction with the services provided by your organization. The choice of hotels and services were perfect, the activities varied, pleasant, and well-balanced. Our driver was careful, pleasant, and very attentive and caring for our youngest participant, Tom, aged 4! Finally, our guide Vilat delighted us with his comments and explanations and was also smiling, friendly, attentive, and caring at all times. They accompanied us until our entry into Cambodian territory and until the final goodbye; everything was pure joy! So, bravo to them, bravo to you, I will not hesitate to recommend your services.
Christina and her family – November 2025
A magnificent tour with an exceptional guide, of great humanity and very professional. We can only recommend this trip.
Patrick and Ilonka – October 2025
Remarkably organized trip with alternating transfers, highlights, cultural and physical activities.
Michèle and Claude – October 2025
Very culturally enriching throughout the trip. Discovery of very beautiful sites. Easy and pleasant immersion in local life thanks to our guide, especially well-known on Kohne Island. The journeys between sites are a bit long, but the sites are worth it! We did not find the spiritual dimension existing in the North; it’s a different journey.
Catherine, Michel and their family – October 2025
Overall, we are very happy with this first approach, which met our desires and the program (nature, villages, cruises, treks, and Luang Prabang).
Claude and Joseph – September 2025
The good work of our two guides, Lathry and Khek, greatly contributed to the success of this beautiful 10-day trip to Laos. The organization was impeccable; all transports and transfers were on time and under the best conditions. Congratulations for the good work to the entire team.
José and Martha – September 2025
We were delighted to take this trip organized by your agency. Congratulations to your entire team.
Claudine – September 2025
Everything was very good. Congratulations on the organization of the trip (punctuality, comfort, kindness of the guides, and transfers). Excellent services. Keep up the good work and thank you very much.
Joël and Patricia – August 2025
Very well-prepared itinerary. The agency is to be recommended. We chose a formula without a guide; perhaps, for some transfers, it would be useful to travel with a guide to obtain more detailed information.
Marc and Dominique – July 2025
Good flow overall. Good pace and beautiful discovery. A slight disappointment for the Bolaven Plateau.
Michèle – April 2025
A tailor-made trip organized by Natacha that met all our expectations. Laos lived up to our hopes thanks to the quality of Asia Safari Laos’ services. Both the preparation beforehand and the numerous attentions throughout our stay made our trip dazzling. A big THANK YOU.
Brice – February 2025
We were truly delighted with this trip to Laos, which amazed us from beginning to end. The hotels were carefully chosen, all our hosts were adorable, and the trek/homestay part was simply unique. We loved Luang Prabang, especially the day with Mr. Wang, who shared his city with great generosity. Being able to communicate via WhatsApp with Natacha throughout was very practical, and we were very happy to be able to chat with her. Great professionalism, excellent knowledge of Laos, and unfailing kindness: thank you a thousand times, Natacha!
Marie – January 2025
We have just had a wonderful stay in Laos prepared by Asia Safari Laos. A big thank you to Natacha, who was adorable, attentive, and very professional before and during the trip. Thanks to Natacha, we were able to find and visit places from my father’s childhood in Vientiane; it was fantastic! And we also greatly enjoyed our stay in Luang Prabang. Natacha managed to combine everyone’s wishes to organize a very successful trip for 3 generations. We are truly happy to have discovered this magnificent and warm country where we were so well received. A huge crush on Laos!
Jeanne – January 2025
Superb journey in Laos. Kindness and smiles from everyone who helped us on this trip. Guides. Boatmen. Drivers and hotel and guesthouse staff. Thank you also to the Asia Safari team.
Mireille – January 2025
We discovered Laos through Asia Safari. For us, this trip was perfectly organized by Natacha, who contacted us several times to check if everything was going well. Guides and drivers, original means of transport, punctuality, kindness—everything was perfect. We loved Laos, Luang Prabang, the Mekong cruise.
A small passport oversight in a bank, and I was able to witness Natacha’s professionalism and involvement in helping me retrieve it as quickly as possible. Thank you again, Natacha, Laos is magnificent, but with you and your agency, it was even better.
Yvon – November 2024
The culture and French language level of our guide, Mr. Sengdao, are superior to those of many French people. Mr. Sengdao should receive the Laotian “Legion of Honor” for his contribution to promoting tourism in Laos. The trip to Laos is a journey to recommend for its landscapes, its culture, and its calm… which sets it apart from its neighbors, who are more “formatted.”
Metais – August 2024
Everything was well organized and pleasant! We loved our guide. We enjoyed the visits to the villages, bathing the elephants, the cruises, the landscapes, the gentleness of the Laotians. We appreciated the hotels and their magnificent views of the rivers. We truly loved this country and its people! Thank you!
Dominique – April 2024
Varied and interesting 3-day itinerary. We had time to enjoy the activities without stress and had a lot of pleasure discovering this beautiful country for the first time. Hotel very well located, quiet, and close to the center, which we really liked. Very varied and delicious breakfast! Our charming guide contributed greatly to the smooth running of our stay. To recommend to our friends. Thank you again for all your organization. We leave Laos with magnificent photo memories and kindness shown towards us. Bravo and thank you.
Jean-Pierre and Ingrid – March 2024
If we loved this trip to Laos, we owe it, of course, to the beauty of the country and the kindness of its inhabitants, but also to our super guide Sengdao, who was a wonderful human encounter for us. A million thanks!
Claude and Marie-Laurence – March 2024
We wanted to thank the entire Asia Safari team for their welcome, their attentiveness, and our tour. The guide, Mr. La, is simply extraordinary. We thank Mr. La for sharing the customs of his country with us. We will long remember his humor. Because beyond his mastery of French, Mr. La possesses a subtle wit that is part of his charm. Chiang Rai is the least surprising stop on our trip. We understand that it is a necessary step in our itinerary. We regret not having had time to visit the White Temple and having done the market, which is less interesting compared to the two markets in Luang Prabang. The hotel was very good, and eating with locals at the night market while listening to Thai music was very pleasant.

- Local French-speaking agency: we speak your language and know the country from the inside

- Truly tailor-made: no fixed catalog — each trip is unique
- 25+ years of experience: founded in 2002, Asia Safari assists hundreds of French-speaking travelers every year
How does our tailor-made service work?
1. You send us your request (dates, budget, desires, profile)
2. We build a proposal within 48 hours — day-by-day itinerary, accommodations, all-inclusive price
3. You refine it with us until the trip is perfect
4. We manage everything on site: guides, transport, hotels, activities
When to visit Laos?
The best period is October to April — dry season, pleasant temperatures. The rainy season (May to September) is also possible: lush landscapes and fewer tourists, but some roads can be difficult. Asia Safari advises you according to the region and type of trip.
Laos, the heart of your Indochina tour
Laos is often the surprise of a trip: uncrowded, authentic, with a quiet beauty. Asia Safari makes Laos much more than a stopover — we make it the central experience of your stay, before or after Vietnam, Cambodia, or Thailand.
Our most requested Indochina combinations
Laos + Cambodia: A classic — temples of Luang Prabang and Angkor Wat, Mekong and Tonlé Sap. 15 days minimum recommended.
Laos + Vietnam: Two contrasting countries — the calm of Laos and the energy of Vietnam. From Hanoi to Vientiane or vice versa.
Northern Laos + Yunnan: For travelers seeking originality — travel from Yunnan to Laos via the Laos-China railway (inaugurated 2021).
Grand Indochina Tour (40 days): Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand — a memorable trip for life.
Tips for preparing your multi-country tour
Visas: each country has its own rules — Asia Safari guides you through all procedures.
Ideal duration: allow a minimum of 12 to 15 days for a 2-country combination.
Seasons: seasons vary by country — we help you choose the best window.
Budget: prices vary greatly by country. Laos is cheaper than Vietnam or Thailand.
Our Story
Jean-Paul Duvergé arrived in Laos at the turn of the 2000s, fell in love with the country, and decided to stay. In 2002, he founded Asia Safari with a simple idea: to offer French-speaking travelers direct access to authentic Lao life, without the filter of large Parisian agencies. Since then, the agency has assisted thousands of travelers, built a network of trusted guides and partners, and refined its philosophy: rigorous tailor-made travel, serving authenticity.
What sets us apart
We are on site: Our team works from Vientiane. We know the roads, seasons, accommodations, guides — and what changed last week. No outdated brochures.
We speak your language: Asia Safari is a 100% French-speaking agency. All our communications, proposals, and guides speak French.
Zero intermediaries: You work directly with us. No central purchasing, no Parisian subcontractors. Fairer prices and higher service quality.
Tailor-made as our only model: We do not have standardized tours. Each trip is designed from scratch, according to your dates, budget, desires, and traveler profile.
Our commitment
Asia Safari actively supports responsible tourism in Laos: prioritizing local accommodations, tours that benefit village communities, respect for cultural and natural sites.
Laos in figures
Area: 236,800 km² | Population: approximately 7.5 million inhabitants | Capital: Vientiane | Official language: Lao | Religion: Theravada Buddhism (65% of the population) | Currency: Lao Kip (LAK) | Time zone: UTC+7
Laos must-sees
Luang Prabang: Former royal capital, a UNESCO World Heritage site, its golden temples, French colonial houses, and gentle way of life make it an undeniable favorite.
Vientiane: The human-sized capital — That Luang, Patuxai, and the banks of the Mekong are worth a visit.
Vang Vieng: Surrounded by limestone karsts, ideal for kayaking, caving, and hiking.
Southern Laos and 4000 Islands: Champassak, the Vat Phou temples (UNESCO), the Bolaven Plateau, and the Mekong islands.
Lao culture
Theravada Buddhism permeates all of Lao life. The alms giving (offerings to monks at dawn) in Luang Prabang is a daily ritual of great beauty. Lao festivals — Boun Pi Mai (Lao New Year in April), Boun Ok Phansa (Festival of Lights) — are exceptional times to travel.
Nature and biodiversity
Laos is 70% covered by forests. Its protected areas are home to rare species: Asian elephants, gibbons, sun bears. The rivers and plateaus offer natural settings of rare purity in Asia.
